Since 2015, LEDECHEM supports Amigos da Montanha, an association known for its values of friendship and teamwork, usually articulated through sports activities.
Thus, on February 26th, the LEDECHEM Trilho dos Moinhos, a sports event that is already a well-known brand in the MTB circuit. This 2023 edition filled the streets of downtown Barcelos with several sports enthusiasts. The trail took participants on a journey of approximately 45km and allowed them to enjoy "slopes with excellent natural settings, built in terraces, using watercourses that turn their mills (...)". Along the way, they found many of the mills that give the initiative its name.
The LEDECHEM Trilho dos Moinhos took place in Barcelos, starting on Avenida da Liberdade - the historic center of the city of Barcelos - and then heading south through various parishes, such as Barcelinhos, Alvelos, Remelhe, Carvalhas, Chorente, Gueral, Courel, Macieira, or Paradela, a parish privileged in terms of mills. Other points of interest to visit, particularly in the parishes of Cristelo, Vila Seca, Milhazes, Gilmonde, or Carvalhal, are also highlighted.
